Cool. Anamosa is only about 20 miles from my home. I heard these monster pumpkins aren't for human consumption, they taste like crap, they're usually processed into livestock feed.

...Feeding too much silage with pumkin turned my milk production orange one winter on the family ranch. D'oh! No 4-H award for that year.

That guy looks like one USDA beefy cornfed mofo. I wonder if he uses that pumpkin as a medicine ball.

That's interesting.. I saw a bunch of these big pumpkins that were relatively pale whitish.. maybe they were trying to avoid this problem.
