Nagoya ITS conference encourages active audience participation
"ITS for Livable Society'' is the theme of an international gathering on intelligent transport systems (ITS) that kicks off today in Nagoya. Open for the first time to the public, the 11th World Congress on ITS will revolve around three main pillars: safety, sustainability and accessibility/comfort.
The conference, designed to be a springboard for the second decade of ITS, comes at a critical crossroads [groan] in which systems are making the transition from the development stage to implementation.

Nagoya ITS conference

About 250 organizations are scheduled to participate, including businesses, universities and regional ITS organizations such as ITS Japan, Ertico from Europe and ITS America from the Americas. Japanese participants will account for 70 percent of the displays, with European and U.S. organizations making up the bulk of the rest.

Ohhhhhh, my brain hurts. I wrote most of that Nagoya ITS conference brochures and associated crap. ITS Japan, Ertico from Europe and ITS America have TOTALLY different and counterintutive ITS methods. Dumb, dumb, dumb. And they want to put web browsers in front of drivers.
