Walmart in Japan

That should really screw things up in Japan...have Walmart take over the Daiei chain...

Commentator Ev Ehrlich thinks Wal-Mart's effort to acquire an interest in the Japanese retailer Daiei could be the best thing to reach Japan since baseball. He says Wal-Mart's retail practices could force other retailers -- especially mom-and-pop stores -- to shape up.

Shaking up the major corporations is fine by me....
them small Mom and Pop shops are sometimes pretty cool.....hate to see them get all f'd up because of some major retail chain driving them out of business...

Having been laid off numerous times because of some shareholder wanting to gain a penny or two on his portfolio, I'm not impressed by having Mom and Pop stores getting massacred by Wal-Mart....
