Gee, if it was my farm in the path of that landslide, I'd leave a sopdai-gomi computer and webcam pointing out the window with the motion-activation trigger on. Whahoo, would that be a great video to submit to the "Best Home Videos" show. :P

Damn, if I only lived closer to Niigata, I could get rid of all electronic gomi without having to pay a collection fee. :wink:

The picture shows the site just after the quake (assuming I did get the right picture). The story says that the rains from the last few days have been increasing the water depth. So I imagine that the lake is a heck of a lot more imposing now than in that picture. Again, I think this could be a huge mess.
