Dating Clubs in Shibuya:

Postby NeoNecroNomiCron » Mon Nov 08, 2004 9:55 am

Firstly what are they called in Japanese. I am not talking about tele kura (telephone clubs). But actual dating ones.

This come up because I was at my University festival. And they made one. Like "blind Date" in the UK (a tv show). It was actualy amazing to watch, a side of japan that i just never saw. Anyway one girl got to talking to me. (she picked me as I went on stage also), She recomended I go. But I always thought they might be a bit sleezy.

I just want to know the exact japanese name to i can check one out on the internet first. I dont want to get into some fight with a yack.[/b]

I'm lost. There was a stage? Was there an audience?

There was a stage and Audience.

First day method. The girls went up on the stage 2 or 3 at a time. then questions were asked about their type. which shortlisted the audience (boys) then the girl picked the one she wanted to get his details and meet up. I was picked on the first day.

Second day method. 4 guys and 4 went on stage. Then the presenter introduced each one. had a chat etc. Each person picked a number they wanted to talk to. got to have a quick chat. the audience only know who each person liked. Then the final round you turned over the person you want to date. if the other person picks you also it was a match. Some rounds not matches some 1 or 2. I was picked by every girl and I got to meet the person I picked (we are going to a gokon soon!)

Differ all you like; and you dont have to beg.
Truth is if an internet search turns up results then it is an aged concept.

Date Clubs have already came and gone in popularity.
