Even though she looks like a donkey and has cobwebs in her snatch I'd have married her just to hear how loud she'd holler while taking it up the ass.

Well, if what the article says is true, the only way to become Japanese royalty through marriage is to be a female commoner (or royal, I guess... eww...) and marry a male member of the royal family.

Why is it that she'll become a commoner due to marrying one? Is it like that every time a female royal marries a commoner?

Hey, I'll only be 33 in 13 years... hehehe...

You still have a chance. The way things are going, with no male heirs and talk of amending the rules of succession, it looks like Aiko will be Empress.

Why is it that she'll become a commoner

Well, like in the UK commoner is of course a relative term.

Don't expect to see this particular commoner down your local supermarket picking up the groceries :D

We had the same fuss and bother when Bonny Prince Charles (jug ears) married Diana who was also referred to as a 'commoner' Of course if you look up her family line you get this little gem of wisdom...

Diana was the youngest daughter of Edward John Spencer, Viscount Althorp, and his wife Frances. Known at birth as "The Honourable Diana Frances Spencer," she was thus a descendant of King Charles I of England. On the death of her paternal grandfather, Albert Edward John Spencer, 7th Earl Spencer in 1975, her father became the eighth Earl Spencer, and she acquired the courtesy title of Lady Diana Spencer. She was educated in Norfolk and at boarding school in Kent, and was regarded as an academically below-average student, in spite of this she was an accomplished pianist, and in later life a daring and bold bridge player, relying on a mathematical brain to secure victory. At 16 she attended Institut Alpin Videmanette, a finishing school in Rougemont, Switzerland.

Not quite what springs to mind when you think 'commoner'

Japanese princess to marry the best friend of her brother
Telegraph.co.uk, 15 Nov
By Colin Joyce in Tokyo. Japan's imperial family finally had good news yesterday when it announced that the emperor's only daughter is to marry. ..
...Mr Kuroda, a 39-year-old town planner who works for the Tokyo metropolitan government, is a childhood acquaintance of the princess and a close friend of her brother Prince Akishino. The couple also attended the same Tokyo university and while there is little else known about their relationship they are said to share an interest in wildlife....

Ok, here's my guess at the difference. Michiko and Masako married royal men and were entered into their royal koseki (family registry). Sayako will marry and become part of her husband's family registry which isn't of the royal family of course. I suspect that is what they mean by her becomming a commoner.

It is possible, though, for a man to marry a woman and join her family and be listed on her koseki. I did. But I suspect there is just no need for Sayako to remain a royal and produce royal offspring so they're just tossing her to the common world.

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=516&e=7&u=/ap/20041203/ap_on_re_as/japan_royal_reform

Pushed into a corner by a deepening succession crisis, Japan is beginning to re-examine a long-standing taboo — the possibility that rules governing its venerable imperial household may be seriously out of whack with the country's modern way of life.

The news that the 35-year-old Sayako, Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko's only daughter, will marry a Tokyo city bureaucrat — and thus be forced to give up her royal status

Single Japanese women applaud princess's choice to wait till 35 to marry
THE NEW YORK TIMES / Monday, December 6, 2004
TOKYO --
Still single at age 35, Princess Sayako was an icon for the generation of young Japanese women who, despite being ignominiously cast into the "loser" category, have not married....
When news of the engagement was leaked recently, it brought cheers from Japanese who had watched her reply, on her birthday every April 18, that, no, she was not getting married yet.
Her engagement reflected the choices Japanese women are increasingly making, but it also underlined enduring social restrictions.... ...more...

Shukan Post via Japan Today: Princess Nori, husband to live in Akihabara high-rise
It is rumored that Princess Nori and her husband to be, Tokyo government official Yoshiki Kuroda, will start their newlywed life in Akihabara, of all places. Their new home will be on the 40th floor of a high-rise apartment building, equipped with the latest high-tech security systems...The reason why high-rise apartments are being considered is probably for security. "From the point of view of crime prevention, high-rise apartments are clearly more secure than an isolated house and the latest security systems nowadays are a standard feature in all apartments," said an Imperial Household Agency spokesperson.
...Another factor is the convenience of the commute. Unlike Kurota, who is employed by the metropolitan government, Princess Nori commutes once or twice a week to Chiba Prefecture, where she works at a bird sanctuary, and she intends to continue to do so after her marriage. In fact, after the wedding, she will start commuting by regular train, although she will be guarded by the Imperial Police. Princess Nori has already "practiced" commuting by train several times.
...While Akihabara is predominantly an electronics district, the number of adult entertainment stores has grown recently, and many places openly advertise on the streets. But since the number of policemen has increased, these signs have almost completely vanished. The tightened security seems to be in anticipation of Princess Nori's arrival.

I'll be 52 years old in 33 years. If I married Aiko, it'd be frightening for both the Japanese, and the gaijin who love traditional Japanese culture. The Japanese'd be shocked by a gaijin in the royal family, and the gaijin'd be freaked out that me, Prince Aranu was a anime and manga otaku. LOL
( I dunno how long I'd live, after the wedding, the right wingers might send some of these guys after me----> :ninja2: :ninja3: :ninja2: :ninja3: :ninja2: :ninja3: )

Postby FG Lurker » Thu May 19, 2005 12:32 am

Japan's Princess Sayako to wed in November
thestar.com.my, May 19, 2005
Princess Sayako, the only daughter of Japan's emperor and empress, will get married in November, palace officials said Wednesday.

Sayako, 36, was engaged in March to 40-year-old city hall employee Yoshiki Kuroda.

Their wedding will take place at Tokyo's Imperial Hotel on Nov. 15, according to the Imperial Household Agency, which would not release other details.

The couple will wed in a Shinto ceremony in the presence of the emperor and the empress, said Japan's public broadcaster NHK and Kyodo News agency.

Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
