Murder suspect locks police in interrogation room, escapes

...Prosecutors began questioning Kitamura at the Kurume station on Saturday morning. His handcuffs were removed in between questioning so he could have dinner in a room on the third floor under the watch of three police officers, when he fled.
The door to the room is designed to lock automatically when shut and cannot be opened from inside. At the time, however, the door was left half open because the three officers inside the room were not in possession of the key to the door.
Kitamura suddenly dashed out of the room, and shut the door behind him so the officers were reportedly trapped inside.
After getting in a taxi in Kurume, Kitamura called an acquaintance of his father on a mobile phone he borrowed from the taxi driver...
