Hikaru Nakamura, 16, of White Plains [born in Japan], yesterday became the youngest US chess champion since Fischer did it in 1958 at 14. ... Nakamura, who is home-schooled, said Fischer and current world champ Garry Kasparov are his heroes. Asked to compare himself to Fischer, he laughed that he himself is "more sane."
