Y170 mil in cash, jewels stolen from golf course manager's home in Saitama
Kyodo via Japan Today
SAITAMA — Intruders broke into the house of a golf course manager in Sayama, Saitama Prefecture, early Wednesday and stole some 140 million yen in cash and 30 million yen worth of jewelry, police said.

The police said a gang of seven or eight males tied up Fujio Aioi, 36, his wife, 35, and their 8-year-old child with adhesive tape. (Kyodo News)

Quick question: How does a guy managing a golf course wind up with 170 million yen worth of goods?

Ok, I guess this guy who got robbed was very concious of time and the president of a golf course company, and not merely the guy in the starter booth setting tee times. And the robbers - shock!!! - might have been FGs...
Foreigners fingered in 170-million yen robbery
SAYAMA, Saitama -- Several men broke into the home of a company president here early Wednesday, threatened him at knifepoint, and made of with some 170 million worth of other valuables, police said.

The president and his four family members were not injured in the incident. Police are searching for the robbers who appeared to be foreigners.

At around 5:12 a.m., police received a phone call from the 36-year-old president of a company that operates golf courses, reporting that robbers stole money from his home in the Mizuno district of Sayama.

Officers rushed to the scene and confirmed that about 140 million yen in cash and 15 expensive watches worth approximately 30 million yen had been stolen. One of the windows of his house had been broken.

That's pretty young to be a company president of anything. Anyone want to make some ridiculous guesses as to what really happened?
