I:ve looked in Tokyo Notice Board, Metropolis, Japan Times... and on jobsinjapan.com, workinjapan.com, gaijinpot.com... but no luck yet. Going to call up some hopefuls tomorrow. But is there anywhere else I can look to get non-teaching job???????
Actually, teaching jobs are OK, but I:m on a WORKING HOLIDAY job, the point of that is to work only to SUPPLEMENT your holiday. Most of the teaching jobs at JAWHM where fulltime, 9-5 type jobs. How much of Japan can I see with that job??!! Get real..!
There was a guy at JAWHM in the same position as me - we just want a simple job that has no set duration of stay - flexible - part time... etc/..
I was thinking that working in a hotel or guest house is ideal - cleaning the rooms and serving breakfast in the morning, with the rest of the dayto myself, or working all day maybe 2-3-4 days a week? In order to get this type of job, where do i look? I can:t phone up and enquire for jobs to all the guest houses and hotels in japan!!
I also have proofreading and design experience - NO TEACHING EXPERIENCE! I guess teaching kids part-time is OK. I can sing and play games and dance to teach them basic english.
hmm.. i think im rambling now...
PLEASE ANY HELP!?!?!?!??!?!?
(I:m getting tired of my landlord asking me "havent you got a job yet? When will you get one? Aren:t you applying for jobs? You are? Why dont you have a job then??" ... GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
...help
