Since I'm new to this board and don't know much about any of yous. I thought I would introduce myself and maybe get some of you to do the same.

I've been to Japan on two occasions. The first being for 3 years up north in Aomori and the second being my current stay here in Tokyo. I've been here for 2 years now. I go to school and major in Computer Science and I plan to someday do Network Admin work in Tokyo. I speak really bad "baribari no nihongo" that I pick up from my skateboarder friends and I drink entirly way too much alcohol on a regular basis. I live in a shanty co-po apartment and my neihbors are all gaijin as well (Filipino, Jamaican, Peruvian and Brasilian). The walls are so thin that at night you can hear the person in the next flat fart. This gets me out to alot of love hotels.

So how about you guys?

I have been in Japan foer almost six years now. I am originally from San Diego Ca. My only true friend in Japan besides my girfriend is that man ^up^ there. Oyajikun and I used to live real close to eachother in Tokyo. Due to my job, I had to relocate to Kyushu about 8 months ago. I am bored out of my scull in this sorry ass hick town. I now drink more than ever and honestly don't know how much longer I will make it here.

Also, my Japanese is horrible and my Engrish gets worse every day.

I left Japan to shake my wife out of her complacent attitude toward life. I used to work for NOVA and had a chance to be trainer in another city and my wife wouldnt move. The city was only 3 hours from where we were currently living.

I tried repeatedly to see that there was no salary growth potential where we were living. This went on for 3years and I got fed up and saying we were going to the U.S. She balked at that too. I left in July 2000. She finally seems to have gotten some fricken sense. Her and my 2 boys are there. But I've found that I love Japan and that I long for the country almost as much as I long for my family.

I currently am on disability for rheumatic fever. So I couldnt bring my family here this August like planned. And last October there was the 9/11 issue.

So I fall in the FG category quite well.

Oh BTW, i lived in Japan from 19 to 27...most of my adult life.

I miss onsen, susui, Japanese beer, enka, REAL karoke...There isnt really anything I dont miss about Japan.

I started studying about Japanese culture when I was 13.

Its my home I have come to realize. However my parents cant understand and they will hurt if I go, but they cannot live my life.
I will not abide ignorant intolerance just for the sake of getting along.
