One of the most fun gatherings I've ever been to. Clooney especially and Pitt were fantastic -- really worked the media brilliantly.
I found it ironic that the DJ criticizing the Japanese media asked the puffiest question in the whole news conference, getting up and telling George Clooney how much he loved him and then letting his girl assistant ask something ridiculous.
The foreign media were not banned from the news conference at all and the only agreement signed was that the news would not be distributed outside of Japan.
It's standard for stars' to refuse to answer personal questions at gigs like today's.
I think this is an unfair story in terms of the way it treats the Japanese media and Clooney, who joked early on about Pitt's divorce in a way that closed the issue magnificently.
