I'm willing to bet $50 that inside the envelope this man is selling is a blank piece of paper.

And if that was the case, then I would agree with him on his answer.

Wikipedia is awesome! I know some don't like it but I really find it very good.

Chris, if you haven't read the book series yet I recommend it highly!

I strongly suggest you read the book. It is smart and funny, and your undestanding of tech humour will go up several notches. Not that it is necessarily a good thing, though. :)

The meaning of life is for every person to become perfect. Thats why we have an inate desire to better our life and ourselves. We repeat the rounds or death and rebirth unitil we become perfect, and then we will be free.

To understand the answer, I suggest you read, "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"

If I explain, it will ruin the whole story.

On a more serious note. Without God, life has no meaning.

I don't get it! Please define perfection.

Thats why we have an inate desire to better our life and ourselves.

We do? Are you sure it's inate?

We repeat the rounds or death and rebirth unitil we become perfect, and then we will be free.

Rebirth? Sorry can you provide some scientific proof of this?

Oh, and free of what exactly?

(just a friendly jab at ya, no offence intended!)

Perhaps books should carry warnings, like:

"Do not drive or operate heavy machinery while reading"

Otherwise, I suspect that the original question in this thread is based on a very large assumption, and I defer to Taro-san's post:

"jinsei wa joudan sa"

Now, I'd better get back to processing those reincarnations - we're very backed-up, what with the tsunami and low birth rates ...

That's because God represents all living things. So you win on a technicality.

1. Love life with all your heart and all your soul and all your strength.

So then, what is the meaning of God?
(actually now the whole question sounds a bit weird, let's drop it, ok?)

Do you recommend the other 3 books in the series?

I do. It's kind of nonsense that makes a lot of sense and I wish it would never end :D
