I read on another forum about a gaijin woman found dead in her apartment last September in Tokyo (I think).

She lived alone and apparently died quite some time before her body was discovered.

Anyone know any more?

Only asking out of morbid curiousity.

yeah, my university- cutest korean girl I have ever seen. very rich famous and wealthy family- she got a cute boyfriend that was a looser in her dads eyes. anyways- she jumped out of the window during the entrance exams to the PhD course. the weeks before that she turned up like crazy- like in her pyjamas, still asleep. I have seen another two gaijins that were close to that state- each time I spent some nights sleeping in the same bed to take care of them. I nearly turned crazy myself- all day and night headache. You can't control them. They are hysterical and not reasonable. One of them I had to bring to the airport. she was mentally not able to get home on her own. I am the hell scared of ending up like that. I do what I can and hope that somebody will do that for me too, if it should happen to turn this way. I try to stay alife.

I found that quite incredible. well she looks like shit recently and became very skinny.

oh how unfortunate for the Whyman's. Damn

Vir-gin: That is some serious shit gf. If you dont mind me asking, why do you think they were losing it? Were they on meds and couldnt get them in Japan? I had a freind who lost her son to suicide..he was bi polar. I suppose no matter what crap I am going through, and I have, I never got to that edge. You are a very warm hearted, sweet, caring, giving and loving person to reach out to these people. But you are right, it can bring you down.....just keep yourself safe gf and keep that living a life a prioity. You bring so much humor and insight as well.....and what goes around comes around, you will have the support if you ever need it.

In college, I knew one girl who called me and said she was going to end her life..DAMN, that scared the shit out of me. It was 4am, and I did not think about calling 911, I just rushed over to her house. She was fine and just said she had an episode. For me, I hated when people cry wolf..but in this case, you can never take the chance. Afterwards, I just severed ties with her....dont really remember why, but I did. maybe I am an ass for doing so

I don't know, but I know Geidai isn't the place to socialize- artists are quite difficult persons and think first of all about their work. I am used to that, but I don't want to know what kind of impressions I give to others. If you watch me long term, you might be able to handle, but I will give you some strange experiences, though. Anyways- I appreciate to spend my free time on FG cause it is cheering me up everyday. Besides, I think Artists are more likely to get crazy in Japan than usual people. Dunno why- maybe because they tend to be already a little bit crazy

vir-jin,

I have to say that you've really blossomed recently.

I mean...you've really come out and EXPRESSED yourself. I think that's cool.

Dead FG in Roppongi...where else?!

Your wish is my command...

Unless I missed this in the thread, no one ever mentioned the FG that got stabbed at Wall Street II in Roppongi last month. Heard from Roppongi lurkers that this was drug related but saw no media on it other than from US Embassy...

According to information assembled through a variety of sources, including the media, US military reporting and the Azabu Police Station in Tokyo, around 0400 on January 3, 2005, a foreigner was stabbed to death at a club called "Wall Street House," also known as "Wall Street II," at Roppongi 5-chome, Minato-ku, Tokyo. The victim's passport showed he is 26 years old, and from Uruguay. However, there is a possibility that the passport was fake.

No Americans were involved, though Americans have been known to frequent the club. At least one American has reported that his passport was stolen from him in this same club in the past. There appears to have been no relationship between this murder and the December 2, 2004 murder of an American Citizen nearby at Roppongi 7-chome.

So what was the Dec 2 murder? I missed that one.

It was this one:
Taro Toporific wrote:Ex-Larchmont man stabbed to death in Tokyo.
The Journal News.com, NY - Dec 7, 2004
... Matthew Nguyen Littauer was attacked by an unknown assailant shortly before midnight Thursday, according to his sister, Deirdre Littauer, whose parents adopted ... Japanese police have no suspects in the stabbing.
I think the US embassy also mentioned this one in an advisory.

Also on FG Thread: Okinawa Camp Hansen Homicide

Express-Time: Friends remember sailor slain in Japan
High school classmates of an Independence Township man killed on a Marine Corps base in Japan remembered him this week as a good friend who loved to laugh. "He was an outgoing kid, a great personality," said Frank Rybicki, who attended Liberty Township School with Navy Seaman Adam Palecco, 21, who was killed Feb. 4 in Okinawa, Japan. "He would talk to anybody."...His body was found at Camp Hansen at 12:10 a.m. on Feb. 4. Officials are holding three members of Palecco's battalion in connection with his death.
Palecco was the middle child of Raymond and Bonnie Palecco, who adopted him as a child. He was born in Seoul, South Korea, and friends said he sometimes shared memories of his life there. "He said he loved his Korean mother," Rybicki said. "One thing that stands out in my mind was his laugh," he said. "It was a distinct laugh. You knew it was Adam's ... he was always laughing." Eric Olesen grew up playing basketball and trading basketball cards with Palecco. "He didn't deserve to die," Olesen said.
