Those tests dont mean shit.

It all depends on how you conduct it. Macworld runs the same tests and Mac ends up the winner.

But how many simultaneous operations can be performed and how much trouble does the machine give you. That is the real bench mark.

Sheer speed doesnt mean much if you have to keep rebooting the machine cuz it froze.

Can anyone say blue screen of death?

Final Cut Pro was to be both a Mac and PC application. That is until Apple bought the rights, took over its development from Macromedia and made it Mac only.

Very true. Of course there's always Premiere. ;)

I tremble before your greatness. The closest I ever got to an Avid system was reading about it in my Final Cut Pro books. :bowdown:

AVID is the only way to go. If you can use AVID DV then the learning curve on other AVID systems is reduced...
