F*cked Gaijin Wins the Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament!!!

Postby Taro Toporific » Fri Nov 22, 2002 5:54 pm

JUST NOW---on NHK TV at 5:55pm the FG Asashoryu wins his first YUSHO. "IT'S A BIG DAY FOR Mongolian!!!" AND today is also Mongolian INDEPENDENCE DAY, literally [[actually the 26th -GJ]].
(3)Asashoryu becomes 1st Mongolian to win Emperor's Cup
FUKUOKA, Japan - Ozeki Asashoryu (R) holds up a victor's sea bream ... after winning the Emperor's Cup ...[urll]http://home.kyodo.co.jp/photo/photo.jsp?news=0&word=TOP[/url]
Fiesty Ozeki Asashoryu made history on Friday when he became the first Mongolian grappler to win the Emperor's Cup after he fought back from the brink of defeat to topple Wakanosato.http://mdn.mainichi.co.jp/sports/sumo/0211stories/day13.html

Asashoryu wins his first YUSHO.

Yeah.. He's cool. I like his tripping technique..

.today is also Mongolian INDEPENDENCE DAY, literally.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's the 26th.. A Mongolian diplomat announcing said he was excited because Asashoryu could attend Independence Day on the 26th..

It was also interesting because the diplomat talked about the differences between Mongolian and Japanese Sumo. Mongolian tournaments last only 2 days, but have thousands of contestants. Once you lose, you're out..

Yeap, your right! I guess only the NHK announcer said it was Independence Day.

Actually, the Mongolians are party animals according to the Mongolia Today website:
July 11-13 Independence Day
November 26 Day of the Proclamation of Mongolia

Check out this Mongolian perspective!

"Havoc in Sumo World
D. Dagvadorj (ASASHORYU) sends the legend of Japanese sumo, hurling down.
Mongolian wrestlers entrance to the top echelon of the professional Japanese Sumo wrestling makes headlines. The alarmed Sumo Federation went as far as to announce that no other foreigners shall be allowed to the Japanese arenas anymore. "

Nah, that's just an old undated article. The HTML source code says it is from July, but no year given. Acually the site's rather "fun". Check out more on http://www.mongoliatoday.com/issue/1/naadam.html

Totally off topic but MUCH more interesting is the site's coverage of "HORSEBACK SEX For Mongols who live in close tune with the Nature, sex and sexuality are ...

No more wiping for him...

So with this win and his new status does he get some new apprentice wrestler assigned to clean him up after he uses the toilet?
Or can he reach by himself?

All wrestlers that reach Juryo level get one or more Tsukibito for those everyday tasks. ;)

It's a motivator for the lower-rank wrestlers to improve their abilities. The Tsukibito are always low level wrestlers from the same heya (stable)

My sincere apologies...

Postby GomiGirl » Sun Nov 24, 2002 6:40 pm

I was making a very bad and unfunny corny joke.. what a shit of a job, crappy job.. etc ha ha, boom boom.
Actually it is like the sort of thing my dad would say which is disturbing on so many levels.

Having said all that, it would inspire me to work my bum off (sic) to move up in the ranks too..
