Phoning from inside Japan: 03-409-1150
Phoning from outside Japan: 81-3-409-1150
81 is Japan's country code but the trick is that you must remove the first digit which inside-Japan uber-exchange digit.

(81 means that Japan was the 81st country in the world to have international calling--talk about xenophobic! !)

Taro, you're showing your age and how long you've lived in Tokyo!!

There's an extra 3 there now...

So inside Japan it would be 03-3409-1150
And outside Japan it would be 81-3-3409-1150

Has anybody seen the Little Rascals movie where that kid says, "Quick! What's the number for 9-1-1?"

But now I have a question... Why are you calling the Honduran Embassy!?

Postby zentogo » Thu Mar 24, 2005 2:20 pm

Because I need a visa . And I need to go there to fill out the paper work. And so I need to know what documents they need.

Do you want a prize for checking the number ?

Nope... Just seemed like an odd request!

I checked the number to see if you were trying to call a known-to-be-valid number, not to see where you were trying to call...

thanks but

Postby zentogo » Thu Mar 24, 2005 3:21 pm

I have to submit paper work from my company to the embassy and I also have to give them a bunch of documents, including medical forms.

I am trying to avoid going to the embassy in the USA in July. BUT I have been calling all day and its busy.

Anyway --I have the ## straight so thanks everyone.
