The couple has a second daughter that has citizenship because the father recognized paternity before she was born.

But they say her big sister is not. All they had to do was say in this case we can grant it due to the fact that she has a sister that has citizenship.

But the child is still Japanese.

My point is that these "Judges" dont have the capacity or the cojones to go against the law or to make a ruling. It would be a simple matter for them to say, IN THIS INSTANCE, we will grant citizenship based on other circumstances....like a little sister who has citizenship from birth instead of making the older sister have to go through the rigamorole of becoming naturalized. Thats my point.

What does the law say if the father is a foreigner and the Japanese mother refuses to acknowledge paternity before the birth?

There is a TV show on here on Fox that is similar to this story.

This guy wakes up naked on an island in Seattle bay with no idea as to how he got there or who he is. Thats the first moment in his life that he can remember. He knows nothing about himself.

But he knows everything else. He can school someone on the migratory patterns of the Japanese tanuki.

He also is color blind, but he sees color when some sort of clue appears. He is sort of a freelance detective working with the Seattle Police Dept helping them with weird cases but he is also searching for his identity.
