Hi I am trying to get some a hold of a good gardening reference book about Japanese flora written in English. Most gardening books I have seen only seem to be interested in Bonzai which is of little interest to me. Specifically I want to know about wildflowers and scrubs and their growing seasons. Any one got any ideas?

I don't know.
The info I get is usually from gardenweb (Japanese gardens) forum. There are quite a few Japanese people on there, and they've answered lots of my questions. Yama-san is particulary helpful. Ask them!
