Mainichi wrote:MAEBASHI -- A police assistant inspector faces charges for repeatedly slapping a male foreigner feigning sleep while in detention, police said.
Documents accusing the 39-year-old assistant inspector of abusing his position as an officer have been forwarded to the Maebashi District Public Prosecutors Office.
The assistant inspector has also been fined 10 percent of his monthly wage for one month.
He admits to the allegations.
"I've done something terrible," he said.
Police said the assistant inspector slapped a Brazilian man in his 30s four or five times to the head while the suspect was feigning sleep while being questioned following his arrest for driving without a license. The man was not injured. He is currently being tried for arson. (Mainichi Shimbun, May 7, 2005)

It seems to me like there's a bit more to this story than what they put in the article. Was he committing arson while driving? How are these two things linked?[/i]

This guy pretends to be asleep. The cop tell him to get up. He doesn't. So the cop slaps him a few times so softly the man is uninjured.

The man was not injured.

And the cop gets fined. What a bunch of BULLSHIT!

But remember this story where the pigs murdered this Thai man?

Thai man without passport dies in police detention cell

FUKAYA, Saitama -- A Thai man died after falling unconscious in a detention cell at a police station here where he was being detained for failing to carry his passport, police officials said.

Police are poised to conduct an autopsy on his body in a bid to determine the cause of his death.

At around 8:35 a.m. on Friday, an officer found the 40-year-old man, who claimed to be a Thai national, slumped in his detention cell at Fukaya Police Station, investigators said. He was rushed to hospital where he died shortly afterwards without regaining consciousness.

Officers had used a rope and handcuffs to restrain him in the predawn hours of Friday after he screamed and hit his head against the wall and a metal grill covering the window. The officers freed him from the restraint at around 7:15 p.m.

Police said they are unsure of whether there are any links between his death and restraints put on his body. (Mainichi Shimbun, Japan, March 26, 2005)

In private (never seen publicly) the Japanese police use a very severe form of rope tyeing that can easily kill or permanently injure the victim.

Supposedly the six forms of tyeing used can only be done by a specially trained officer but as we all know these things are not always done by the book. The first time this was attempted on me it was done by two very young cops who really didn't have much of a clue as to how to firmly apply the tie. Later in the evening I was able to slip the knots quite easily and retie them in a much more comfortable way. The following day they never noticed what had happened.

On the other hand my teacher could tie and totally incapacitate me in about 6 seconds with nothing more elaborate than a kitchen towel. 8O

Actually what happened was that I had a 'mental disturbance' while doing tachi yomi at the local cobini. For reasons that I really can't explain I felt compelled to get out of there as fast as humanly (or as the case was inhumanly) possible.

I stormed straight towards the large double glass doors and banged both hands on them attempting to fling them open to allow me to run out (picture Wyatt Earp hitting the saloon doors) - well regrettably conbini door glass is not too robust and both doors shattered into hundreds of pieces. It was a pretty amazing sight. Watching it on the close circuit camera later I was sorta impressed with the power I was able to generate.

I suffered several deep gashes and was later arrested at the hospital whilst having my hands and arms stitched.

The conbini manager (a really nice guy) actually came over the police station and told them how it was just an accident and that they had no intention of doing anything about it.

I was held over for a couple of days and released. I still have the scars.

Funny you should mention that. :D

The few times I've taught stick fighting overseas there *always* seems to be someone come up to me after the course and with a sly wink say 'I hear this style of Budo includes rope tyeing' - do you think you could show me a few ties that I could be practicing at home'

I think I could earn a tidy living just doing that :D

Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

Maybe he did a drive-by on a fireman?
(who was doing his missus...cause women LOVE firemen...and some latinos sure have tempers on them)
and if the fireman was on his way to putting out a fire...
that would make him indirectly responsible for arson?

The treatment of detained foreigners in japan is an outrage, Amnesty have documented many terrible cases, Including MURDER AND RAPE.

search THIS FORUM for women held in detention....pity them!!

I guess the stort behind this is much more servere than meets the eye.

JAPAN highest FORCED deportation and LOWEST refugee acceptance in the developed world(of which japan only belongs due to concreting).
