Epoch are releasing a new version of their famous "Yakyuban" baseball game. The "King of Action Games" has sold over 10 million units in over 50 versions since it first appeared in 1958. The main buyers these days are middle-aged oyaji so the company is launching the product for Father's Day next month. The company hopes that fathers can play the game with their children, getting them away from video games which the fathers can't master.

Hey I LIKED those old baseball games, just as I like board hockey old baseball games, just as I like board hockey and fussball. I as I like board hockey and fussball. Hell, I even miss the old magnetic/vibration American football game produced circa 1970. It never worked as well as it promised and players seemed to move around aimlessly... still it was cool.

I guess, I am admitting my Oyaji status. :?

aah the infamous ol' magnetic football game. I had the CFL version. One sure way to drive my dad nuts was to turn the game on while after dinner while he was nodding off on the couch listening to the evenng news. have to admt it though , that humming noise was rather irritating.
I caught a program on TV a while back about the aforementioned retro baseball game. They showed an original set. All the players were made out of wood.
oyajis rule!
er, sorry about that. Don't know what came over me  It won't happen again.
