Where's a good shop to find...

Postby gamma-ro » Thu May 05, 2005 1:02 am

slightly older keitai? I am trying to get the au W21SA:
http://www.au.kddi.com/seihin/kinobetsu/seihin/w21sa/

Unfortunately, even though it was only released last August, it's already off the shelves and replaced with some uber crappy boxy "upgrade" now. I tried lots of bigger and smaller keitai shoppes in several spots around Tokyo, and even tried looking at some of the back alley shoppes in Akihabara... All to no avail. Everyone kept saying they didn't have it, and when I asked anyone who knew of any stores which had older ketiai, of course no one knew.

Of course, I only explored a small part of Akihabara because it's got too much to cover, and because of the stink (heheh), so I was wondering if anyone knew of any place I could try to find one? I did also do some searching on the net, but every store says it is sold out, so no go there.

The worst part of all is that I have just moved back here to Tokyo from Sapporo (for one year) and actually picked up and held a W21SA at the au shoppe in the Odori Koen shopping centre (at least the au shoppe pretty much directly under the Terebi Tower), and considered buying one. Unfortunately, I didn't do it because my wife was saying that since we were in Hokkaido, that the store might not let me get it because I would need a Tokyo contract and that phone is in Hokkaido and blah blah blah.

Anyways, now that I can't freaking find it, I am regretting not just buying it and dealing with the contract hassles instead of dealing with the not having the phone at all hassle. True, the newer Sony Ericsson is a bit more feature rich, but I am not the biggest fan of orange in my keitai (even if only as hi-lites) nor the whole sliding face style. What can I say> I'm a designer by trade, so I get caught up in that whole aesthetic rigamaroll.

Thanks in advance for your help.

you tried that green electric store inbetween sapporoekimaedori and the clock tower? [forgotten the road and name of the shop, sorry!] think its just before you reach tanukikoji, they used to have a lot of out of date stuff.

reckon they may still do, from what i hear, hokkaido's economy is getting worse and worse

I need a store in Tokyo, though... I just moved from Sapporo to Nishi-Kamata.

Oh yes, I miss the fresh air. The food in Tokyo isn't so bad, provided you know where to look, and my wife loves looking.

I think about my ketai I am SOOL.

How about buying one through Yahoo Auctions? There seem to be quite a few up for grabs.
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
