News.com: Seals now in Japan's gun sights
Director-general of Japan's Institute of Cetacean Research, Hiroshi Hatanaka, said Japan would consider killing Antarctic crab eater seals for scientific research. Dr Hatanaka has reportedly said crab eater seals are a part of the eco-system model for the Japanese science program. At present, no Antarctic seals are being culled for research..."Nothing has been decided at the moment, and we do not know if...vessels have the capacity to take samples,"

Why is it ok to kill animals for research, yet we gape in shock and terror when a culture kills humans for research like the Nazis and Japanese did back in WWII???/

Um... maybe because people aren't fucking animals? Nobody is in shock over all the bugs that have been mercilessly killed by the Kincho company...

I can't believe you'd reply to such a stupid fucking question.

The thing is we see ourselves above animals, so therefore we can kill them without fret. However, if one were to take mentality that animals were just like humans the morality of killing them would change.

If you can imagine killing an animal as an act akin to killing a human, well I'd say animals would indeed enjoy better lives on this planet.

So in essence, it is OK to kill during a war to protect land that actually belongs to no one, or resources that will one day be depeleted anyway.... but to kill another human for research that could save lives or something like that is just fucking stupid..... I guess there is no hypocrisy there.

I actually see no difference in how those companies treat animals in labratories compared to what the Nazis and Japanese did to humans. It's the same thing.

OK tard, I am saying all people. They are just a reference. You may infer whatever you like... You deduce this and that... I am not saying that ONLY Jews and Chinese are animals... I am saying that all humans are... and as such, why do we fret over killing each other for research and so on... compared to "animal" research.

It's all fun and games until the beloved Tama-chan, the celebrity seal of Japan, ends up in a can of curry! Then the crowds will be up in arms! Where is Panawave to save Tama-chan now?!
