Elementary schoolgirls' swimsuits, underwear stolen from classroom

KUMANO, Mie -- Thieves have stolen 22 swimsuits and more underwear belonging to fifth and sixth grade schoolgirls from a classroom here, Mie Prefectural Police said.
Children noticed that the swimsuits had gone missing from the classroom at the Kumano Municipal Arima Elementary School on Monday morning, then alerted their teachers, who contacted the police.
The swimsuits and undies were taken from a third-floor classroom some time from 5 p.m. on Friday, June 24, to 9 a.m. Monday.
The school's front gate and building had been locked during that time, but the thieves did not appear to have destroyed any property to get into the classroom. How the thieves entered the school remains unknown. (Mainichi)

Do you realize how much sniffing this is going to require? The perp is going to be up all night for several days trying to Whiff all these!

He may even qualify to become a contest judge with the experience this will give him!

I was just talking to a J-girl and she told me that her apartment was once broken into and the guy took some cash, her undies, and all of her photos. She figures he was probably going to sell her panties with a matching photo. Creepy.

Some of Take's kimchee pals?

America, whatta country. Steal underwear to end up getting thousands of tax payer dollars, or at least insurance company dollars.

Oregon has agreed to pay $331,000 to settle a lawsuit by a Washington County family that claimed police used excessive force when executing a warrant against their son, a suspect in a high-profile kidnapping.
The settlement avoids a trial that was scheduled to begin next month.
Sung Koo Kim was a person of interest in the 2004 abduction of Brooke Wilberger from a Corvallis apartment complex.
The police executed a search warrant on the Washington County home where Kim lived with his parents and sister. There was no evidence connecting Kim to Wilberger's disappearance, but he was charged with stealing thousands of pairs of underwear from college campuses in the Willamette Valley. He also was charged with possession of child pornography.
His family filed a suit claiming the police used excessive force when entering their home in the middle of the night. Police shot Kim's father, Joo, with less-than-lethal force.
Kim's mother, Dong, said the violent search traumatized her family. She also criticized police for later depicting her son as a monstrous person when it was clear he had nothing to do with the Wilberger case and obviously was suffering from mental illness.
"My son is now in prison without effective treatment," Dong Kim said. "It doesn't help anybody. It doesn't help anything."
Jake Weigler, a spokesman for the Oregon Department of Justice, said the state decided to settle the case in part because of possible technical errors in the warrant.
"We also wanted to spare the jury and the Kim family from the excessively violent and explicit materials found in the household," Weigler said.
