unfortunately, tom green is in fact not only canadian, but from my hometown (ottawa) and also from the same end of town. anyone here from ottawa can correct me but i think he lived in kanata.

his teenage pranks were televised regularly and included such things as painting his parents' garage plaid or literally bringing a camera crew right into their bedroom at 2 or 3 a.m. he'd often target unaware bystanders. i think he was into rap for awhile too.

One of my all-time favorites is "The Slutmobile" in which he has his parents' car designer spray painted with a big huge picture of two gals going at it Girl-On-Girl right on top of the hood of the car!!!

That was brilliantly done wasn't it. And then he tries to engage his mother in a debate, demanding to know what she has against gay people.

Legally, is being called an "idiot" a possible case of slander or character defamation?

Quite unfortunately, the elements of proof in litigation for slander or defamation, begin with proving the initial basis wrong, to wit: the complaint is not an idiot. This could take a bit of time and we wouldn't dare let anyone from Roppongi take the stand.

Since it looks like an extended court battle, I would recommend you forego this as a waste of time which could be better used by organizing debauchry and shooting more videos. Also, I have checked with inside sources, who tell me that if they lose, "Rolled While Stoned" plans to get even by paying you in Euros.

I always thought that geeks actually produced stuff for nerds to play with. eg gaming - the geeks make them, test them etc and the nerds spend their waking hours playing them.

Anyway, I wouldn't be so quick to adopt the word "geek" as a self-descriptive term if I were you. Wikipedia does point out that there is a difference between "geek" and "nerd", but the difference isn't as great as you say (and therefore geek isn't much better).

Pundits and observers dispute the relationship of the terms nerd and geek to one another. Some view the geek as a less technically skilled nerd. Some factions maintain that "nerds" have both technical skills and social competence, whereas geeks display technical skills while socially incompetent][/b]rom the 1950s at a time when many school students did not see excelling at school as "cool". Therefore nerd originated as a derogatory word (although some people now consider it a compliment), while the term geek became widespread later (1980s) and has avoided many of the negative connotations. From that discussion, neither term sounds particularly flattering to me.
