I have a couple questions for my fellow FG's:

1) Which antenna should I buy for SkyPerfect? There are a bunch out there and I'm having a hard time deciding on which one to get. Are there any major differences in quality/performance? Used ones are pretty cheap these days. Looking to pull the trigger soon.

2) Does anyone know if the USA network TLC (the learning channel) is available in Japan? There is a show that is airing this month that I'd like to see.

To question one, I have a basic Sky Perfect antenna and it is adequete. I don't think I am missing that much.

TLC is not available here althought some of its programming does show up on the Discovery Channel from time to time. Anything airing overseas this month is not going to be seen here for a long time (a year or two) due to translation.

the more you spend on the tuner, the more bells and whistles your tuner will have, and the faster it will work. If you get a cheap one, it will be a little slower, but you can still see all the same channels no problem.

Recently you may have noticed that there is this new "skyperfectv" and the antenna can be used for both CS and BS. But you must get the right tuner to go with it. A friend of mine wanted to watch the new BBC entertainment channel and he had to older skyperfectv system and he was told he needed the new antenna and decoder. It all seems a little fishy.
