Koizumi to push African farm self-sufficiency at G-8 summit
The Yomiuri Shimbun
Japan will send agriculture policy experts to African nations to help them develop farm policies that ensure food supply independence as part of proposals to be announced at the July Group of Eight summit meeting, officials said Saturday
Let me guess what they will advise them to do;
Parcel up the land into tiny unsufficent plots ensuring high prices, grow water-intensive crops like rice- this is especially good in places that have highly variable rainfall, liberally used herbacides and pesticides to ensure that they get into the food supply, prop up the uneconimical farms with massive subsidies and install massive agriculture trade barriers to ensure that you citizen are on the rope for you enlightened policies.
