MDN: Japan Mint to release Doraemon coin sets
Japan Mint has decided to release two coin sets to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the serialization of the popular comic Doraemon, officials said. One set is a "Proof Coin Set" of six color-printed coins, from the one-yen coin to the 500-yen coin, and a silver medal. The coins come in a leather case. A maximum of 60,000 sets will be produced, and sold in Japan on a first-come, first-served basis for 13,000 yen each, including tax and postage.
