canman wrote:I don't know why, but I enjoy seeing how other gaijin feel about certain things. Sure I can complain to my wife about the lack of good sausages, and she can listen intently, but in the end she is Japanese and doesn't know any different. But here mostly everyone is from a western country and I think we all have a lot in common. So by my complaining about sausages(which is a rather petty thing if you come to think of it), its just like your friends or family back home being able to bitch and complain about the things they don't like. Its just that at home everyone can understand them as they are in the same position. But for a lot of us we don't have others who understand our silly rantings and ravings. I don't think it has anything to do with anti-Japanese feelings, hell everyone loves to complain. I call up my Mom and Dad and within a few minutes they are on about the gov't or the weather or the price of gas. Anyway keep them coming I love to hear them.

Then you'll have to share the recipe![]()
ichigo - yes that Mainland cheese is not too bad, and it comes in nice BIG blocks - I'll be keping an eye peeled for it in the local supa.
I don't enjoy FG anymore.

Two words - Brazilian Shop! For meat products...roast, turkey, sausage...they rock!! Got the flavour, and the low, low everyday prices!!!
He's right though. Don't like it? Leave.Andocrates wrote:Fuck you homesweethome, your constant steam of hate is the main reason - and like most narrow minded bigots you're not too sharp. So, I have decided to start treating you like the little bitch you are. Now shut-up bitch.

Why JR has not been improving their facilities? Are they making money? Metro Subway has better facilities than JR.

Last time I looked, Nishi Nippori station didn't even have an escalator. Given that it is one of the main stations for connecting to the Yamanote from the Skyliner coming in from Narita airport, that doesn't seem to be very smart. Certainly many locals send their heavy luggage separately but you still used to see people trying to manage their suitcases up and down the stairs. Yokoso Japan! I'm not sure if anything has changed.
Funnily enough, though, when Hamamatsucho became the main Yamanote line connection for the Tokyo Monorail to Haneda, airport, the whole station got a makeover. The passenger traffic for that connection is well below Nippori.
Same at Keisei Yawata station which connects to JR and Toei Shinjuku. Damn pain with the luggage and stroller

I hope what I'm about to say doesn't bring everyone on the forum down on me.....
It seems to me that the worst critic of Japan, and the one who most frequently posts negative news links, is the most popular person on the forum. What I truly don't understand, is why he has stayed in Japan for 20 years plus if he hates it? I know he's a good guy, but I just don't understand why he feels the way he does. I didn't want to just come out and say his name, so I'll give one more hint: He's got the highest post count on the forum.

The first step in understanding would be to leave Alabama..Pencilslave wrote:I know he's a good guy, but I just don't understand why he feels the way he does.
