and why is it only gaijin gals with japanese dudes? surely there are way more relationships the other way around. or am i underestimating the wife import business?

aaaa...so sad. I am getting sick of seeing the same faces for years and years, though I am impressed that there are more and more women who last longer than 6 months...and some have made it for several decades.

I remember talking about this very same subject with some Swedish TV journalists LAST YEAR!!!

When the Swedish reporter asked you where you got your hat and glasses, did you storm out of the interview a la Tom Cruise when he was asked about Nicole Kidman in an interview by a Swedish reporter?

WOW! That's an interesting story about Mr. Benkow vs. Mr. Crush, I mean Cruise, or whatever!

The next time you get interviewed by a Swedish reporter, your duty will be to reenact the Tom Cruise incident and get it all on tape! Points for Scientology references, jumping on a couch, laughing maniacally, and incorporating the line, "Did you order a Code Red?".

Taro's link is dead and the story is too. I haven't seen a fun degrading show on J-TV for at least 6 years (has anyone else?) and this is at least part of the reason we opted for Sky.

My guess is that this is still a story in the US is because they 'discovered' the joys of late night TV somewhere around 2002.
