Well, the quote I saw was closer to $15,000,000 for the complete package (Hooter's would assist with everything from training to business analysis).

I don't think Hooters would have wanted a direct payment of 15 million, if that number was bandied about then it would probably have been a demand for evidence of financial resources to support a roll-out of up to 10 locations. I got the impression they wanted a group capable of developing sites in all the major metropolitan centres. The guys I knew already had three Tokyo locations in mind but nothing elsewhere which they knew was a weak point in their proposal.

I've been seeing this mistake frequently in the US as well over the last six months....I even saw it last month in 8x4 display ad on the inside fold of the B section in the Wall Street Journal for some gold coin broker. I couldn't tell if the the WSJ ad dept is just asleep at its desk or if the broker is purposely speaking to their gullible clientele in a way that they will understand (not that gold is a bad investment in itself, but businesses like this strike me as super slimy)
