Yonhap: Hyosung wins spandex infringement dispute with Japan's Asahi

South Korean textile maker Hyosung Corp. has won a legal dispute with a Japanese rival over alleged infringement of the latter's patented spandex technology, Hyosung's legal representative said Monday. Last year, Japanese fiber manufacturer Asahi Kasei Fibers Corp. filed a lawsuit against Hyosung claiming that constituents in Hyosung's spandex products were the same as their own. Ahhh, Korea has learned well Japan in filing the totally bogus patent infringment lawsuits. Spandex tech is more than 50 years old --- This lawsuit for infringement ain't novel, useful, or nonobvious patentwise. Sheesh.
