Hi,
I'm new to this board and I'm badly in need of advice. I've just discovered that my Japanese wife has found herself a (fat, broke but younger) gaijin lover in Thailand. Ever so quietly, she's funded the guy's flight to Japan for a week or so of guess what. And probably temple visits, too. I'd very much like to stay married to my wife, and I think this is just an.. um.. mid-life thing that will blow over if I can keep this guy away from her.
I have the guy's picture and know exactly when he's arriving at Narita, and there is a temptation to meet him in the reception area for a fis.. sorry face-to-face. (But no, I'm not like that, I keep telling myself.) Does anyone know if there's a minimum amount of money someone visiting Japan might be asked to prove he has on arrival at Immigration? Is there anything i can (legally) do to encourage Immigration to pay special attention to him? All advice welcome.
