The return of Burger King - the first new branch is set for Island Tower, Nishi Shinjuku in June. It is currently a Lotteria so presumably other branches will be converted.

[floatr][/floatr]Good news for burger lovers. The world’s No. 2 hamburger chain, Miami-based Burger King, makes its long-awaited return to the Japanese market on June 8 when it opens at Nishi-shinjuku (Shinjuku i-Land). A second restaurant will open June 22 in Ikebukuro.
I have to say that looks pretty fucking good..Captain Japan wrote:

There is a cheaper option: TAC has reciprocal membership arrangements with the YCAC and KRAC which are both considerably cheaper. There are quite a few people who join those clubs personally and still get to use TAC facilities - I think you need to belong to them for a year before you get that right, though. My personal preference is to latch onto a TAC member: since only members can pay the bills this is far and away the cheapest method.

Six years after closing its last Burger King restaurant in Japan, the burger chain is returning to the country to offer a variety of American-style burgers as well as a Japanese-style "Whopper Teriyaki" beginning June 8. The vegetables are covered in glycerin to make them shine, the meat was dyed with food coloring by hand, the condiments were loaded with glue to keep them from running, the layers are packed with cardboard spacers to make it stand taller, and it's all held together with dozens of toothpicks.
But it looks really good.
