Right. Thats why you got yours, yeah, so as no one could see 'em. Kept 'em private, only show 'em to a select few in cyberspace on your first FG avatar and stuff, right. Hmmm...

Not that I have anything against tats n shit. Just dont go getting all condescending and shit on us...:D

Hey im new.
i will be moving to the Kansai area next month so ill probably post a lot here once the honeymoon period is over and I need to vent about how much i hate it.

as for the on going tattoo conversation, if one of the reasons you got a tattoo is not cuz tattoos are cool then you are a liar

i guess that makes me a liar, as i always tell myself the reason i got tattooed was because i thought it looked fucking lame.
where in kansai are you going? my first year in japan was in wakayama, just south of osaka.. i much preferred kansai over the tokyo area. try not to get jaded too quickly, japan could use SOME well adjusted and content gaijin over there!

Ill be in Inami (by tsuchiyama station near kakogawa) with my in-laws at first, I could end up anywhere between Akashi and Osaka after that. I dont plan on getting jaded too much too fast. I already have friends and family there and I think that will help.

Have you had any work done in japan? Any shop recomendations? The only one I've seen in person was in Himeji, it seemed like a good spot. I havent looked very hard yet.

Hoy there! C’mon in mate, more’s the merrier!

Image

amdg's the name. Pleased ta meet ya!

Torimaro is it? That’s a funny name, no worries! You ain't a cop are ya? Nah, didn' thinks so.

We’re havin’ a bit of a shindig tonight. Are ya up for a bit? HA ha! Though you might be mate! Ahh it’s beer-o’clock so let’s find us a few tinnies. Uh, here we are..

Image

This here's bikkle .You probly heard ‘bout him already. This is basically his place, so don’t piss ‘im off.

Anyway mate, we can probably talk better inside. Let’s go.

Pull up a seat mate an make yaself at home. Sit anywhere you like!

Image

But watch out fur that greeny-brown spot on the couch. Ol' annie, our house goat, had a few anal glands needed 'spressing an someone went an done it there. I was gonna clean it up last month, but don't really need to because the smell is enough to keep anyone frum sittun in it, right? I'm alwuys thinkin' bout how to save time on the housework.

What's that? don't feel like sitting down just now. No worries! Let's go meet some more of the crew.

Oh look, there's Mulboyne over there. He's a smart fella that one, a good listener. See! He's havin a debate or something with those other people. Let's go up closer and see if we can hear what theys talking about.

Looks like there talking about somfing serious, hey? We better not disturb em right now.

Oh shit I almost forgot. Come over here and meet Taro. Don't mention it to him, but this is the guy that invented the 4-holed sex doll. Bloody genius. He hasn't had to work a day in his life since then, just sits back and lives off of those royalty checks. Lucky bastard. He's not a bad bloke though. Pretty handy to have around for barbies, as you can see in this photo we took last summer.

Image

Say, do you like art, mate? Ha! I thought so! Check out me shin tat.

Image

My missus inked this herself. She’s a bit arty farty but a good sort.

Sheeet mate! You look buggered. Too much for one day huh? I better show you to your room. Here we are.

Image

That guy’ll be gone soon. You'll be sharing with annie 'n' the dogs and ya won't even notice the smell once yar asleep. But you should probably sleep on yar back. Try not ta roll over onto ya front because the dogs might have at ya, hornybuggers.

So…. anyway, you can get changed now. Wait where you going?! Don't be shy. You don't av nothing that I avent seen before, believe me! Here, ya can wear these.

Image

If they get itchy it means ya wearin' em on the side I avent washed yet, so you probly should turn em aroun' or inside out. Have a good sleep, and I'll show you around to some more of the crew tomorrow.

Don worry, ya gonna fit right in.

Ugh. Hi.

I'm the newest gaijin, I guess. I'm Steff, I'm a sophomore in college. I'm studying abroad in Nagoya this fall for a year. I am pretty much you're typical atypical japanophile gaijin eventually looking for the coveted position abroad. Somehow, I think it won't be hard for me. I'm an International Studies and Japanese double major. I'm Japanese Culture Club president. I spend my time driving our Japanese exchange students everywhere and helping them out. After college I'll probably get a job at a consulate if I get the NSEP scholarship requiring me to do so, otherwise I'll try JET. I've never been to Japan before, but like many I've been salivating since elementary school in the worst way. Sometime last semester when I was taking Japanese History, my rosy sugarcoated view of Japan was shattered and I question my life goals... but you know, like all things, that faded. Yes, I know I'm young. Yes, I know I don't know anything. Yes, I'm expecting that nothing will happen like I think it will.

so anywayz heysupslol

and now what you've been waiting for, pix:

Just kidding.

Welcome aboard, Steffi.

PS: Very brave, posting a personal pic so early!

Good luck in Japan.

thanks! I'm from new orleans, but really branded by boy scouts is the same thing.

haha. for some reason, the internet doesn't scare me anymore. I figure if someone wanted to, they could get all my personal information just by IP scanning and other things. a picture of myself doesn't really help anyone out information-wise.

You know I get confused between the gay Kanucks and the common frenchies. One of them sounds like a sick duck, and .... I forget the rest, but your mother's a whore.

ive gone and checked out a few shops in japan, but it seemed that just walking into a shop and getting it done is really expensive. i was quoted 50,000yen for a black only piece about the size of a cd case at a famous place in osaka (Chopsticks, which japanese tattooists call 'famous' which in japan means it can be expensive for no apparent reason). eventually i made friends with kids who had work done, and it was through them that i got the same piece done for 10,000 at a place called crystal skull in koenji, tokyo.. im very happy with my piece.

What's wrong with that dimmer? You can dump the bathwater right into the crapper and get a free flush while you're bathing. Such convenience shouldn't be laughed at!
