Benjamin Fulford Takes On The Yakuza

It lasted for around thirty minutes and was ignored by members of the nation's largest yakuza organization. Police said they'd never seen the like before. Fulford wrote on his blog yesterday (Japanese) that he intended to go to challenge the Yamaguchi gumi. He told of how he has recently been harassed by two yakuza stalking him in a black Rolls Royce and who also followed him into a coffee shop. Fulford wrote that he would go with a megaphone to the Kobe offices with a view to finding out why they appeared to be after him and whether they are acting alone or on the instructions of some shadowy organization overseas. According to police, Fulford arrived at around 9:30am in a taxi with four others and called out to the building "Why are you after me?" There were over 30 policemen in the nearby vicinity who were on the alert for trouble since Fulford had obtained permission for his protest. One Japanese news report quotes a local housewife who said the whole incident was surprising but she couldn't really hear what he was saying through the loudspeaker. Fulford said later that he felt better for getting things off his chest and wanted to remind the yakuza of their claim that they don't cause trouble for ordinary citizens.

In his recent blog entry, Fulford says he has had an important discussion about the Koizumi era with economist Kazuhide Uekusa. Uekusa maintains that Koizumi's main intention was to sell Japanese assets at bargain basement prices to foreigners. I simply said `Japan is one of the most liberal countries` I did not say anything about it being a prime or ideal place to practice rational dialogue or anything along those lines. However it is most definitely one of the safest even with the large Yakuza influence. That is a very sad way of thinking and you sound very bitter. I think some Japanese people will look at us and think `Hey, look at that GAIJIN` but you can’t say that all Japanese people feel the same way.

Firstly if you are a permanent resident, you are no longer a foreigner as a matter of fact. Also if you renounce your previous nationality and obtain a Japanese passport you are a Japanese citizen by law, and you are able to vote and also get involved in government activities, maybe even run for mayor.
I do agree with what you are saying to a certain extent. I think some Japanese people are prejudice and would judge you by the way you look, but that has no affect on your nationality. It’s just the way some people might think.

Nowadays there is a lot more acceptance especially in the rural parts of Japan and the vast majority of people. I have spoken to a lot of Japanese people and obviously they can see by my facial features that I am not Japanese, but treat me as they would any other Japanese person. I am not sure what bad experiences you might had had but not everybody is as judgmental as you might think.
