I watch the Channel 6 morning news frequently. Lately I noticed they are showing racist "Gaijin newscaster" segments. These feature the poorly dressed foreigner Dave, with beady little eyes and silly blond hair, and his Japanese co-anchors. (Kind of ironic considering that non-asian foreigners typically have much bigger eyes than Japanese.) They show Dave as a stupid foreigner who is causing numerous problems (mostly culturally related) to himself and his co-anchors. Needless to say this is very offensive and racist, especially since this news program is running on a national station.

this program should be pulled of the air.

I think I covered almost everything that will crop up in any thread...fill in any blanks and what's the stuff Dave puts in his hair...that stuff alone is racist.

Gee, another joke at my expense. But at least this poster used some funny satire, that even I consider to be amusing. (Yes, I can take a good joke.)

BTW, I don't own or watch any TV, but I have seen that newscaster in hotels and such. I don't really have much of an opinion of him, since I consider Japanese morning shows to be really lame, and are more insulting towards their Japanese audience.
