It looks like the Seattle batch is better than the LA batch but not by a whole lot.

Greji, I am so thinking about throwing the first annual J/A Nissei festivity at Kiki's this week and invite those girls from the last time again. I am allowing you to be on the judging panel just this one time but the winner gets a round of beer from everyone there.

Just don't bring that one that leads with her right. It's not my SM week. Check with Iraira, if she shows, he make want to make a cameo in his shower clogs and spurs.....

Doesn't matter as long as Daddy has konne in the community.
Never criticize anyone until you've walked several kilometres in their shoes.
Because

1. You're now several kilometres away; and

2. You've got their shoes.

Here's a local data point for reference. These are the candidates for Miss Sophia University:

They all look a lot easier to carry home, not to mention a lot easier on the eyes.

Always a good conversation starter (with both Tokyo guys or girls) is how do they rank Tokyo universities for "beautiful girls."
Generally, Aoyama Gakuin University is ranked first but then there's no agreement although Sophia University and Keo rank high and Todai ranks low.

So the number of "beautiful girls" is inversely proportional with the school's academic ranking?

You can never mix brain with beauty. Remember that. You have to give or take on that one.

Sorry, Greji... well I guess you can take it both ways about Sophia.

Not so sure. Seen some stunners at Kyodai and Ritsumeikan.

She's reportedly enrolled but hasn't graduated yet, so the use of past tense doesn't bode well.

Oh well, I think only 2 of us tried to pick it, but neither of us got it. The winner was Ms Dana Fujiko:

Do J-Universities even have "academic ratings"? The graduation rate is an average of something like 98% of the matriculation rate. Plus, the stuff kids have to study to get into one is akin to memorizing the phone book; critical thinking is obviously not encouraged.

My rug rats received regular A thru F grades calculated by points. At the last of the "seiseki" there was a listing of where they stood in the class. That is from three separate Universities. So at least those three schools did.

They also had the required courses, which could be finished in three to three and a half years, balanced out with the electives. When my one son had a requirement to go to the states early (two months before graduation), he just left because he had nothing remaining but electives and they told him don't worry about it and mailed his Degree (Sotsugyoushoumeisho) to the house.

Did you name all your kids alphabetically, too, from A to Z and then when you ran out of letters start with kana?:p
