I recently had a conversation with the J-Girlfriend of one of hubbilicious' friends.

She had just purchased a Clinique antiperspirant and was in shock and awe that she didn't sweat when using it. She had never used an antiperspirant before and couldn't believe how fantastic they were. She kept exclaiming over and over that she didn't sweat when wearing it. It was like she had just discovered sliced bread or something.

I showed her my bathroom cupboard with my stocks of antiperspirant and said that this was something that I used every day.

I think she has now told all her friends.... perhaps the virtues of antiperspirant will spread virally and we can see more demand for a proper antiperspirant. Perhaps some enterprising marketer/trading company, will import Rexona, make a TV commercial and make a fortune. (and stop the need for us FG's to import our own supplies)

This is why I asked if it was a legal thing or just a marketing thing for the ingrediants of the antiperspirant side.

I have tried the Ag+ stuff and it is total suckage when it comes to stopping sweat. I don't smell - I just don't like the sweat marks on clothes or the yukky feeling of sweat beads running down my torso if I don't need to. Gross.

Not that I want to aggravate a French related cliche... but put me more than 5 hours in an airconditionned car/bus/plane... And whatever the season, what I'm wearing will stink like If i spend the last month sweating in a coal mine...

Lost a few cool shirts in those "kill it with fire" moments...

Strangely enough... let me sweat these same hours in those "greenhouse cockpit" light aircrafts and I'm still more than patronizeable...

The Seiyu near my place started selling Kettle brand Sea Salt and Vinegar chips a while back. I love Salt and Vinegar chips, especially Kettle's which are super-vinegary... Having no self control means I went through a phase of eating far more of them than I should.

Aluminum isn't very good for you, and when you put it on your skin (like I do every day...) some portion of it gets absorbed. I don't think the long term affects of this are really known, there is certainly debate about if it is a problem or not.

I have an almost life-time supply of Axe deodorant sticks from the US (not the J-vagina knock-off spray) and that seems to do the job. I have one in my medicine cabinet, one on my PC desk, one in the office locker, and I always carry one in the gym bag. Needless to say, I am completely set and covered wherever I go. It does put out the nice manly, but not offensive, scent and I always get favorable compliments.

The Axe series is good, as is their series of body washes which come in a variety of designer colors and fragrances. Gave them as omiyage to J-friends about 2-3 years back, and all of them have the unopened bottle on their desks at work or at home perched next to their TVs.
A few J-girls also seemed to like to smell my pits after I applied the Axe deodorant. Not a complaint against them, just an observation.
