[/floatl]Huis Ten Bosch, the Dutch-themed resort in Nagasaki, has announced it will open a new outdoor English conversation zone next spring. It will be staffed by around 40 foreigners under instructions to speak only in English and guests will pay 1500 yen a head for an hour of this experience. The resort operator, travel agency H.I.S, hopes that school groups, families and possibly even businessman will be interested. In the future, the service may be expanded to include indoor classroom sessions while some restaurants, hotel facilities and a jazz club may also be designated "English only zones". The resort ran a trial on Sunday (pictured left) with pupils from some local schools and foreigners from the nearby US base in Sasebo. These trials will continue next year in preparation for the full spring roll-out.
