From your prior posts I understand that you are a whiskey appricator - you really need to try the Taketsuru 21 yo - its special.

The waiter in my usual cigar lounge in Shibuya was pushing that to me the other day but I was in no mood for a whiskey. I will try it this week.

English is kind of like life in T Town for the TTTokyolios, some of them never get it and end up drinking the shochu - their whole lives. Ironically, they be the english teachers and I talk about this very phenomena in podcast ep 1 and ep 2.

Taketsuru 21 would be a better whisky, but each to their own I guess. Good shochu is nothing to sniff at either; there are many fine Awamori that can beat a cheap whisky (looking at you Kakubin/Daru)

Kobe Beef on the other hand, after about 200 grams of the shabu shabu slices you start feeling faintly sick due to all the fatty tissue. There is much better beef out there, even in Japan, doesn't have to be a brand name like "Kobe".

How much are tickets?
An Entry Ticket (essential) is \5,000 per day and a weekend pass (Sat/Sun) is \9,000.
Masterclass Tickets are priced at \3,000 per class.
There is also a small booking fee to cover postage and administration.

Are tickets available on the day?
Entry Tickets are available but cost an additional \1,000 on the day. Masterclass Tickets are subject to availability; in practice almost all of the classes sell out well before the day so booking early is advised.

I took notes on each drink today, and apparently I sampled about 29 different whiskies and bourbons, plus a couple of beers. Can't say I remember much of it in detail, but I think I had a pretty good time.

Kind of fun to see how my handwriting steadily devolved as the day went on.

Christmas is right around the corner. This year, I've decided to put a few whisky brands on my wish list. My girlfriend is going on a trip, which of course allows her to enter the magnificent Duty Free at the airport

Over the years I've tried a lot of different whiskies, but I always seem to forget the name of the brands(I wonder why). I think it's a shame that I can't name any scotch single malts that I like, just because I've forgotten what I've tried.

What I do remember though, is what people have suggested that should I try out. Here is a list over a few single malts. Which one would you suggest that I try? Oh, I guess it's worth mentioning that I really like the taste of Bushmills(Irish single malt), which is the last whisky I tried out. I also like Jameson.

Anyways, here are the candidates:
