You're probably right. I doubt Bin Laden had much of a role in day-to-day operations of Al Qaeda, but its still an important political victory IMO, which can be just as important.

Thought that was a bit iffy too. But I think it fits with the whole Obama just stfu and trust me bitches thing. Which I kinda understand, I've been in sys-admin jobs where a group of angry voices question your every move and the less said the better in most cases (see his birth certificate as an example of where this applies.) Unfortunately, I have a bin laden problem of my own to deal with -- time to take out the trash because the next-door baasan has just gone out and I can ssneak it into the skip before she gets back and gives me a mouthful -- otherwise I'd comment more, but I can't see China being too great a threat to the United States as long as I'm alive (another two decades max.) It's powerful, assertive, threatening, but those conditions apply even moreso internally than externally and it will have a lot of its own shit to deal with before it can effectively impose its will on others, let alone take on the USA. Let's not forget the Muslim problem the Chinese face is significantly more threatening than Islamic fundamentalist terrorism that gives the West such jitters.
