I will believe in a glorious and benevolent god should Bieber get arrested in the next few days for cocaine possession and hence, be barred from entering Japan. Take 'em out Paris Hilton style.

I lasted a little over a minute ... but I have an excuse: I was listening to the Auto-Tune kick in all over the place ... and that's on a "tune" that consists mostly of one note (sound is sort of my thang, see).

Lyrics: I sort of let the Corn Flakes slide, 'cause that was right at the beginning and I figured it might get a bit better, but I lost it right about where she was trying to decide whether to ride in the front or back seat.

Is it just me, or is the quality of pop music really going down the tubes?

I would tend to agree but this case is not as bad as it seems. Black doesn't have a record deal or anything. The video was finance by her mother and produced by the black dude rapping in the middle. He also wrote the song. His business is apparently helping regular people make professionally produced music videos and market them through i-Tunes, etc.

The reaction was so negative that it's given her 15 minutes of fame and she even appreared on Jay Leno. She's also done pretty well on i-Tunes as a result. Go figure.

Ah, so she's not exactly a pro. That would explain the glaring (and probably unavoidable) use of Auto-Tune.

Fair enough. Still wouldn't buy the CD.

The music is bad and if you put yourself out there you have to expect criticism. But I almost felt bad for her because she's only 13.

Yeah, I was pretty shocked too. Especially when I saw her bouncing across the stage on Leno. She's going to need breast reduction surgery in the future if she's already that stacked at 13.

It was aboot 3 minutes and 19 seconds of rarified nothingness.

It's about "let's go to the mall today." Absolutely nothing, and I mean nothing else. Three minutes and nineteen seconds of it.
That must be really hard to do. Normally a little substance would slip in there even if you weren't trying. Not in that clip. Quite an achievement. The 13-year-old Ms. Black has more ideas.
