A small message to those funny japanese hobby level robots:

FOOK YOU

[yt]xqMVg5ixhd0[/yt]

Yours

Boston Dynamics.

Seriously Japan... cut that crap with the make believe technology... A drunk Russian in a shed could certainly replace most of your research departement. Just let the Racequeen for the public presentation as we certainly could not get the guy to sober up even for a day...

All good and well, though engineered incredibly, that thing is very noisy.

As a craft for carrying soldier's luggage, is that really the best option? (thinking of goats, donkeys, and other animals with additional options, like Greiji-friendly orifices).

Yeah try to input gps coordinates and path into a donkey and see if it can bring the supplies by himself... I think the point of this thing is to be able to follow the same footpath as the soldiers it should reach. (unless you send a team with batman, spiderman and super Dupont to kill Ben Ladinde)

Well, some animals are perfectly able to find their way to a certain destination without being input with GPS coordinates: pigeons, dogs, bees, ants, etc. Dunno about donkeys, but they should be smarter than ants. And they can adapt themselves to changing circumstances, which is difficult for robots.

And they have orifices...

ya... i would rather have a bot that doesn't get scared of gunfire, require food (my rations), or shit/piss on the way...

you cant tell an animal to "go find the extract point"

bad thing is... if you run out of food, you cant eat it.

Sure they can....if they've been there before?

Just wait til Japan copies this thing and turns it to a bipedal robot that looks like schoolgirl, carries your luggage and follows you everywhere. Akihabara is going to be crowded with ones that dance.

Actually, all they need to do is copy those flashlights and make it fit...

They have the technology! :D

Good point, but will those loving robot dogs be able to keep humping your leg while you're sitting in your gf's living room with her folks?
