Actually, I didn't realize (look) when I initially posted, but this bloke (supported by the Communists, by the way) is wearing them, and so is the cosplay freak.
Haven't seen anyone in my area wearing them this time around (including Noda, who spoke a couple of weekends ago near my home).
In a separate matter, a bloke was handing out leaflets for the Minai no To, or Japanese Union of Fascists, or whatever it is Ishihara/Hashimoto are running in. Being the loving, tolerant, patient and compassionate guy I am, I told him his candidates were "racist scum of people guiding Japan back to the brink of an unwinnable war just like your stupid ancestors did, and they're doing this because you guys refuse to study the past properly and have your own unique view of history shared by none of the millions who suffered at Japanese hands."
