Nintendo announced they will release a new Famicom Mini series for GameBoy Advance on February 14, for 2000 yen each. Famicom Mini is a remake of the classic Famicom (NES) titles, ten games are announced so far:

Super Mario Bros (Nintendo)
Donkey Kong (Nintendo)
Excite Bike (Nintendo)
Legend of Zelda (Nintendo)
Ice Climber (Nintendo)
Pac-Man (Namco)
Xevious (Namco)
Mappy (Namco)
Bomberman (Hudson)
Star Soldier (Hudson)

They will also be simultaneously releasing a new Famicom styled GameBoy Advance SP for 12,500 yen.

Note: This shouldn't be confused with the limited edition Famicom SP, previously discussed in this topic.

That one looks like this:

That's cool, I'm interested to see how much the mini nostalgames will cost...hopefully cheaper than the standard GBA game

Press Release

On May 21, the next 10 games in the Famicom Mini series will be released. Some decent titles, but Dig-Dug's the only one I see as a "gotta have it" game. Sadly, they come out after my trip during Golden Week. On the bright side, though, the first 10 will be available when I'm there, and I can score a copy of Xevious. :D

GBA Famicom Mini Vol. 11: Mario Brothers
GBA Famicom Mini Vol. 12: Clu Clu Land
GBA Famicom Mini Vol. 13: Balloon Fight
GBA Famicom Mini Vol. 14: Wrecking Crew
GBA Famicom Mini Vol. 15: Dr. Mario
GBA Famicom Mini Vol. 16: Dig Dug
GBA Famicom Mini Vol. 17: Adventure Island
GBA Famicom Mini Vol. 18: Makaimura (Ghosts'n'Goblins)
GBA Famicom Mini Vol. 19: Twinbee
GBA Famicom Mini Vol. 20: Ganbare Goemon! Karakuri Douchuu

Bought one for the wife. She's a Super Mario Bros fan. I'm still trying to locate a copy of Pac-Man.

Any idea if Mario Bros will allow link play?

My questions are:
    1) Judging from the game interface shown above, has he been playing the original version of the game for the entire 26 years?
    2) At age 99, is he playing Bomberman like the Pinball Wizard†?
