Some politiciannly persons are calling for this system to be reformed, I have just learnt.

Yeah, apparently he sent a strongly worded memo to his staff prioritising the problem and told them to get crackin'.

Anyhoo, yes and Boo! to the antedeluivan liquor regulation, and.............well...........sorry, eh!?

BTW, even the new looser legislation is still woefully inadequate. Apparently we got more Puritans than we knew about. Says a grandson of the local Lutheran Temperance Union chairlady.

Have fun. Oh, BTW, the national anthropology museum is also said to be funky iffin that's your sort of thing. It used to be called The Museum of Man. I don't know what the lesbo lobby renamed it. I'll look it up if you want.

Luckily this time I am familiar with the opening times of the local booze commisariat and have established a strategic reserve.

Is that the Canadian Museum of History just over the river in Francophonestan? It looks quite nifty but I wandered past it last year and it was infested with tourists. It had a Japanese gravel garden outside.

Anyway not much time for exploratory japes this year...

Yes. The feckers renamed it again. Looks like they have kind of gayed it up too, to fit the current Conservotard fixation with Canadiana. Funny they would call it that in a province where history stopped almost 300 years ago............................

Anyways, just figured out the difference in dates and that this is last year's thread. OOOps.

Have fun.

While we're at it, why do shop staff utter the words "uuurh muhhls?" after each transaction? I suspect they are saying "Air miles?", but why? Is that normal in this country or just an Ottawa thing?

Apologies to the various staff I stared at nonplussed while jetlagged trying to work out what they were saying.

I just did the same last night. Honestly, what sort of catastrophic social breakdown is going to result from me buying some beer at the local corner store???

And yes, that is what probably what they're mumbling. They might be Francos, or it could just be the Ottawa Valley mumble. That area is Doughnut Muncher central.
