Well this sucks. Canada, or at least Ottawa, appears to be one of those places with a restrictive attitude as to when and where alcohol is solved. One cannot evidently just pop out to the nearest convenience store.

Some politiciannly persons are calling for this system to be reformed, I have just learnt.

While we're at it, why do shop staff utter the words "uuurh muhhls?" after each transaction? I suspect they are saying "Air miles?", but why? Is that normal in this country or just an Ottawa thing?
