Personally, if it were me who had the gumption to finally put an end to the AKB reign of pop terror, I would have gone in with a http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DO1OMK/ref=as_li_ss_tl?tag=scale-t-2-ag-1-20.

Japan girl group AKB48 attacked by male fan with saw
Seriously. Relatively minor injuries, and this is world news?
WTF is going on?
It is a good sign, Hammer: the world is relatively calm. If there was anything really important happening in the world, this wouldn't get reported.
(I once read a neat summary of the four elements which make something newsworthy. Sadly, for all my searching I can no longer find it, so I am paraphrasing but it went something like this:
1. It involves rich people or famous people.
2. It involves a rich country.
3. It can be explained simply, especially if you can blame someone.
4. It is tragic.
This one ticks all the boxes. It is even better than a royal wedding!)
Dunno if you guys noticed, but all in the US news now is this guy who killed 6 people because he was still a virgin at 22.
He ticks all boxes:
1. Spoiled brat of rich parents (dad is film maker).
2. US is still considered a rich country (kind of).
3. Easy to explain, and he blamed all womenhood for not wanting to fuck with him.
4. Yep, 6 young people died, very tragic.
He was in the same mind set as the Japanese guy, but his legal ownership of 3 guns made it a deadlier combination.

...police have told AKB48’s management they must improve security starting by putting a stop to their infamous handshaking events, widely believed to be the only thing keeping the group on top of the charts…
Akihabara police (in whose jurisdiction lies both AKB48′s original venue and the company who manages the group) have demanded they take immediate steps to improve security.
In addition to the pathetically rudimentary measure of actually searching attendees for concealed saws, police want the events to increase the distance between the stage and seating so as to avoid any wayward otaku getting onto the stage.
Most notably they want handshaking and “high-touches” banned at AKB48 events throughout the country.
AKB’s management have so far said they will “consider” implementing the police security measures...more...

Isn't it a measure of how far you get your hand under and up her skirt?
