Just because something sounds retarded to our ears doesn't mean it won't work in Japan. These Engrish titles are made to appeal to Japanese audiences so what we think is largely irrelevant. I have a sneaking suspicion that a long clumsy title like this isn't as effective as the distributors think. However, entertainment industry marketing in Japan isn't my area of expertise and somehow I doubt it's yours either.

No doubt slapping English/French looking words/phrasing on shit here is almost like a requirement in marketing anything in Japan....but in this case, apparently the original written work that this movie was based on is actually called "All you need is kill" ....so for once it's not the marketers fault. (silly me for holding an author to a higher standard than marketers) I guess it's just even more annoying that it's painfully obvious where the phrase in this title was bastardized from...
